About Us
Chinook Sexual Assault Centre (CSAC) is a stand-alone organization that provides leadership, advocacy and comprehensive services specific to victims of sexual violence within Southwestern Alberta. Providing crisis support, system navigation, peer support groups, therapeutic groups, specialized police and court support, Who Do You Tell, and counselling to those impacted by sexual assault/abuse and for their supporters. Public education and awareness can be tailored to your agency or group. Serves all ages, however people identify, historic or recent sexual assaults/abuse, and can be self-referred.
Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, our newest program, provides an innovative response to child abuse investigations in Southwestern Alberta. Working as a partnership between community and government agencies, we bring together professionals involved in child abuse cases, for a coordinated, multidisciplinary response to child abuse victims in Southwestern Alberta. Programming includes systems navigation, needs assessment, specialized police and court support and therapeutic/clinical intervention for children who have experienced abuse. Our specialized focus allows us to provide trauma-informed, evidence-based services with expertise in our field. Our diverse staff, ranging from recent graduates to seasoned professionals with over 40 years of experience in the charitable sector, benefit from comprehensive orientation and training programs. We are committed to fostering meaningful careers for our employees and providing valuable practicum opportunities for students entering the human services field. We take pride in our collaborations with Chamber members as partners, donors, and supporters.
