Safety Coordinator

Location: Coaldale
Contract Duration: until approximately the end of January 2025
 
We are looking for a skilled Construction Safety Coordinator with a solid background in commercial construction to join our team on a contract basis. If you’re detail-oriented, safety-focused, and ready to make a positive impact, this role is for you!

• Pay Rate: $35-$39/hr.
• Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 6:30 am – 4:30 pm (Sundays off!)
   

• Oversee and actively maintain site compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Conduct routine safety inspections to identify and proactively address potential hazards
• Collaborate closely with site supervisors and crew members to promote a safety-first culture
• Communicate safety guidelines, conduct on-site training, and reinforce best practices among team members
• Document and report any incidents or safety issues, ensuring corrective actions are promptly taken
• Assist with developing and implementing safety protocols as needed, adapting to the dynamic needs of the site
   

• 2+ years of construction experience – commercial construction site familiarity preferred
• Class 5 driver’s license as you will be traveling to different site areas
• Knowledge of safety practices in construction, with training provided to expand your expertise
• Strong communication skills to engage with team members effectively on safety practices
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to identify and mitigate safety risks
   

• Current safety designations such as NCSO, CSC, etc.
