Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with our client in their search for a Journeyman Electrician to join their team. Successful candidates will be strong team players with a knack for troubleshooting within electrical systems. What’s in it for You?- Shift premiums available

Compensation & Hours:- The rate of pay will be $43-$44/hr.
- Shift work – 2 on, 2 off – 5 on, 5 off (12 hour shifts)
- One night shift every 6 weeks
Position Summary:- Completing electrical and mechanical emergency repairs along with general maintenance
- Performing electrical installations
- Assisting the maintenance department with preventative and repair maintenance
- Troubleshooting electrical systems and automation equipment
- Assisting with production line start-ups
- Performing packaging line repairs as required
- Performing certain building maintenance including HVAC
- Providing recommendations for improvements to equipment and processes
- Maintaining records and all other documentation related to repairs and maintenance
Required Qualifications:- Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrician certificate
- Experience in manufacturing
- Must be able to read mechanic schematics to identify parts, troubleshoot machine mechanical problems; dissemble and reassemble machines
- Ability to work well within a team
Bonus Points For:- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- PLC troubleshooting knowledge: Must be able to read ladder logics, upload and download programs and do online troubleshooting
