Drafting Technician
Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with our Engineering based client in their search for a Draftsperson to join their team. The successful candidate will be well versed in Revit programs and be excited about perfecting drawing to meet and exceed client needs. Compensation & Hours:- The rate of pay will be $50-80K/year based on experience
- This will be a full-time, permanent position
Position Summary:- Creating proposal and final construction drawings that work within a set budget
- Utilizing all available resources to determine the best designs for client expectations and safety requirements
- Building strong relationships with clients and sub-contractors; focusing on an ability to understand requests and then effectively communication steps to get there
- Providing accurate cost calculations and take-off quotes
- Scheduling and delegating tasks according to production start dates
- Operating 3D programs and evaluating each phase to ensure success
- Seeking out potential business and client opportunities
Required Qualifications:- Post-secondary certification as a Drafting Technologist
- 2+ years’ experience in a drafting role
- Training and/or experience in Revit
- Ability to manage multiple projects and time-manage accordingly to meet deadlines
- Full understanding of Alberta building and safety codes
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Bonus Points For:- Experience in construction industry (commercial, agricultural, or residential)
- Training and experience in Civil 3D or AutoCAD
