Safety Coordinator

Our client is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join their team. This role will ensure operational objectives for their safety and quality assurance programs are met by completing audits, identifying issues, and implementing change. If you have a knack for making sure things stay on track and are up to standard, this could be the job for you!

• The rate of pay will be based off experience
• This is a fulltime and permanent position  

• Overseeing day-to-day food safety programs; monitoring and assigning tasks to meet quality assurance needs
• Planning for resources required, setting goals, and reporting on project progress 
• Ensuring compliance through educational presentations and effective communication strategies
• Assisting in managing the safety program in collaboration with the external safety consultant
• Auditing systems and procedures for gaps; proposing plans for improvement or overseeing corrective action
• Serving as the safety liaison with external clients for projects; supplying documentation (GOA’s, Guarantee Letters, Traceability)

• Experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or a related field
• Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry
