Office Manager
Posted: 02/02/2025Since 1906, Huckvale LLP has been providing Southern Alberta with dedicated, quality legal assistance to help our clients get where they need to be, from resolving a legal dispute, to successfully closing a business or real estate transaction.
We are looking for a new team member in the position of:
Office Manager
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Posting Banking Transactions (multiple times per day)
- Bank Deposits (daily)
- Trust Accounting & Ensuring Compliance with the Law Society
- Payroll and Remittance
- HR Responsibilities: Hiring, Onboarding, Tracking Vacation/Anniversaries, Administering Employee Reviews and Addressing Grievances
- Administrative Support to the Lawyers, Legal Assistants and Accountant
- Covering Reception Desk during Breaks and Vacations
- Other Office Administrative duties as required
Requirements:
- 5 years’ Experience in a Similar Role
- High Attention to Detail and Accuracy with Numbers
- Strong Time Management and Ability to Prioritize Tasks
- Adaptable, Dependable and Level-headed
- Willingness to take Initiative to find Solutions
- Ability to work both Independently and as a Team Member
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and PC Law an asset
- Understanding of the Banking industry and/or the Rules Governing the Law Society an asset
We Offer:
- Monday – Friday: 40 hours/week
- $65 000 - $70 000 annually; based on Experience
