    Compensation & Hours:
    • Salary: expected to be $70,00-85,000/year
    • Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
     
    Position Summary:
    • Financial Reporting & Profitability Analysis: Compile and report on profitability, financials, and variance analysis
    • Financial Resource Management: Assist with overseeing accounting operations, manage cash flow, and support the budgeting process for our subsidiary corporations
    • Accounting Functions & Oversight: Maintain a strong structure for accounting processes, including reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month-end close procedures
    • Audit & Compliance: Assist with annual audit preparation and collaborate with external auditors. Prepare and file tax documents with CRA and ensure compliance with all statutory regulations
    • Insurance & Risk Management: Oversee insurance policies, ensuring appropriate coverage and compliance
    • Coordination & Streamline: Coordinate with various business entities to streamline financial processes and ensure alignment.
     
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in public accounting or financial management
    • Assurance experience
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks
    • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and CRA filings
    • Strong attention to detail and proven track record of accuracy in financial reporting
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple projects, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
     
    Bonus Points For:
    • CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it
