The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk-in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Join us on February 24, 2024 - team up, fundraise, walk, and take a moment to look closer... because it’s cold out there.
In Lethbridge, Wood’s Homes operates Youth Connection – THE CORE (Emergency Youth Shelter), along with 4 other programs including Youth Support Navigator, Crisis & Resources Support, Family and Natural Supports and Family Connections.
THE CORE is an 8-bed facility providing private sleeping areas, meals, laundry facilities, showers, clothing, and crisis counselling from 5:00 pm to 8:30 am 365 days of the year for youth who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Providing these basic needs as well as a safe, clean, comfortable, and inviting environment is of outmost importance to helping these youth through very difficult times. It offers them chance at a happy and successful life ahead.
